Sixth grade curriculum that connects independent thought with global exploration.

6th Grade Curriculum

Sixth grade marks a meaningful transition toward intellectual independence. Oak Meadow’s curriculum supports this growth with subject-specific coursebooks in English, Social Studies, Science, and Math, each designed to deepen understanding while encouraging personal expression and global awareness.

This is the year students explore ancient civilizations across continents, write essays and research reports, and dive into life science and human systems. Art and craft projects—like mosaics, sculpture, and costume making—offer creative ways to reflect and synthesize learning.

Assignments promote critical thinking, observation, and academic writing while building the skills needed to thrive in middle school and beyond.
