2024 Oak Meadow Video Contest
Do you love making TikTok videos? Are you a social media aficionado? Do you love making your own movies at home? Do you like making stop-motion movies?
This year, we’re excited to announce a new contest for your Oak Meadow SHORT videos! Your video could win one of three $250 gift cards to B&H Photo!
We invite you to submit video clips—up to/no more than 60 seconds—that might illustrate the following:
- How you fit Oak Meadow into your life
- Schoolwork of which you or your student are especially proud
- Observations/advice on how to get started or be successful with Oak Meadow (be sure to mention if you are enrolled or using the curriculum independently)
- Before/After – how has Oak Meadow changed your life?
- Creative customization of the Oak Meadow curriculum
- Connections with/between Oak Meadow/homeschool students/families/faculty/staff
- Your own Oak Meadow-themed idea!
We’d love for you to showcase your creativity here if you enjoy video editing, animation, dancing, etc, but a direct-to-camera style is great, too! We’re looking for all styles and voices. Students of all ages as well as parents are welcome to submit. And please submit as many videos as you like!
Oak Meadow’s mission is: We help students and families experience the joy of learning and create meaningful change in the world. Please use this contest as a window into your life, and show us what you’re doing and the impact it has on you and the world around you
A cellphone will provide a perfectly adequate video clip (for helpful hints, see here), but feel free to use other equipment or creative approaches (e.g. a Zoom recording, interviews, animation, embedded still photos, etc.).
The deadline for submission will be April 30, so start your cameras and show off your Oak Meadow experience.
