Make Monthly Payments with Affirm
We are pleased to offer the option of paying with Affirm, which allows you to split your purchase into monthly payments.
What is Affirm?
Affirm lets you divide your purchase into biweekly or monthly payments. With Affirm, you’ll never owe more than you agree to up front. Instead you’ll always get a flexible, transparent, and convenient way to pay over time.
Affirm will show all available terms before you agree to a loan.
Your first monthly payment is due one month after your purchase is processed, and the following payments are due each subsequent month on the same day. You may have to make a down payment if you don’t qualify for the full loan amount.
Will using Affirm affect my credit score?
Creating an Affirm account and seeing if you prequalify will not affect your credit score. If you decide to buy with Affirm, certain things may affect your credit score, including: making a purchase with Affirm, your payment history with Affirm, how much credit you’ve used, and how long you’ve had credit.
Does Affirm charge interest?
The majority of customers should qualify for 0% interest financing. However, depending on your eligibility, your APR can end up being 0%, or 10% to 30%.
Like most installment loans, interest is fixed and won’t compound like it does on credit cards. You’ll be informed of your interest rate prior to finalizing payment.
Does Affirm charge any fees?
No! Affirm doesn’t charge any fees to use their installment plan. That means no late fees, no prepayment fees, no annual fees, and no fees to open or close your account.
Is there a purchase minimum for Affirm?
Yes, you must spend at least $50 to be eligible to use Affirm. With Affirm, you get financing for amounts up to $17,500, with your choice of flexible repayment terms.
How do I use Affirm?
After selecting your item(s) in the Oak Meadow Bookstore, go to Checkout and select the Affirm payment option under “Step 3: Payment Info.” If you’re approved, you’ll be able to choose from several payment plan options. You can set up automatic payments or make manual payments. Plans can be adjusted using the Affirm website or mobile app.
As of October 2021, Oak Meadow switched to Affirm payments from Paypal Credit for their installment plan.
