Private Schools
Oak Meadow School (Los Angeles)
Oak Meadow School was founded in 1975, by Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Williams, in Ojai, California. Oak Meadow School’s national offices are now located in Brattleboro, Vermont. Our office in Vermont supervises and trains the many Oak Meadow Class Teachers across the country, handles the task of record-keeping for students, develops curricula, and builds our school’s standing in the community of private schools. Oak Meadow School Los Angeles operates by contract with our home offices, as a local branch of our parent school, and in California under a Private School Affidavit with the Los Angeles County Office of Education. Oak Meadow is thus a private school in our state, just like any other private school: we receive, hold, create, and when necessary forward all formal school records for our students; we offer a full curriculum for grades 5-12; we have fully qualified and experienced teachers at all grade levels.

Glacier High School Charter
Our charter school will meet the needs of children who, together with their families, have decided that a home-based, family-centered style of education best suits them. Research, history, and our own experience have shown that homeschooling, with parents assuming the role of teachers, creates an effective and successful environment for educating children. Parents are natural teachers. Those who homeschool their children expand their loving, nurturing environments to facilitate their child’s involvement in learning. These parents know and understand their children better than anyone else.

Ironwood Academy
Ironwood is a residential treatment center committed to helping families in crisis with troubled teens. We trust the teens and families we treat to share our commitment to generating successful, rewarding outcomes. Our aim is to assess and treat the causes of unruly behavior, while providing self-esteem building activities and life-enriching experiences along with academic studies. We strive to reunite youth and their families through clinical therapy, discipline, hard work, and shared experiences in a safe, secure, and therapeutic learning environment.
Our professional, caring staff is committed to helping resident teens adopt positive, proactive behaviors and interpersonal communication skills, and to develop a core set of values including self-discipline, a sense of personal honor, and the courage to accept responsibility for one’s decisions and actions. We develop personalized, individual treatment plans for teens who are admitted to our course correction and self-esteem building program to help them achieve these goals.
Set against the wilderness backdrop of rural Maine's rolling, wooded hills, our residents and their families can expect the respect and empathy to which they are entitled, in an atmosphere of acceptance and genuine interest. The real problems, not the symptoms, are identified and treated with professional clinical techniques. Ironwood's structured and disciplined program provides a safe, therapeutic context from which the disengaged youth and their family may reengage at a functional level.
Through adventure-based experiences, teens are taught how to work through conflict for the good of the family; they are challenged to clarify their values and goals; they learn to bond in loving, positive ways. Through individual and group therapies, youth and their families learn more effective ways to communicate with each other and learn to relate to each other in a more understanding, respectful and appreciative manner.

Majestic Ranch
Majestic Ranch Academy provides an excellent opportunity for children ages 7-14 to gain skills by assisting with ranch duties in a beautiful and peaceful environment. Students will have the opportunity to experience calving, lambing, and caring for cows, sheep, horses, goats, llamas, cats and dogs. Their insight, awareness and perspective will be broadened while participating in these activities.
Our students are involved in helping with ranch chores and caring for animals on a regular basis. Students have the opportunity to buy and care for their own animal as they progress in the Academy. During the spring and fall, the students are involved in sheep trail and have the experience of sleeping in the outdoors as they trail the sheep to and from summer pasture. All students also have the opportunity to learn to care for horses and can earn the privilege of riding horses for ranch duties.
